We make full and partial dentures. To achieve the desired natural-looking teeth we work closely with you and our lab for this personal service.
Here at South Hill Family Dentistry you have choices; we offer two types of fillings. Silver fillings (amalgam), have been around a long time, and work well on back teeth. We also offer tooth colored fillings (composite), which use a resin material that bonds to your tooth. This has two benefits: it looks great, and since it bonds to your tooth, less tooth structure needs to be removed to place the filling material. In 1993, US public health services issued a report stating there are no health reasons not to get amalgam fillings.
A root canal, also known as Endodontic Treatment, refers to the removal of the internal nerve of your tooth. We do most root canals here in office. A root canal removes and replaces the internal nerve of your tooth with a suitable material. This procedure preserves your tooth which would otherwise require extraction. Most root canal teeth require a future crown.
Wisdom teeth, also referred to as third molars, get their name by being the last teeth to come in during young adulthood.
A tooth extraction is the procedure done to remove a tooth that is damaged beyond repair from its socket in the jawbone.
Periodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the structures that support teeth, which includes: gums, support ligaments, bone and tissue. We provide non-surgical services, and our 2 long term hygienists are dedicated to your oral health.
